Dental Assistant

About the role

The Dental Assistant supports faculty and students in a clinical teaching environment at Batterjee Medical College. You will prepare the clinic, assist during procedures, and maintain strict infection‑control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare dental clinics for teaching sessions, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready.
• Assist instructors and students with clinical procedures, delivering sterilized instruments as needed.
• Return contaminated instruments promptly to the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD).
• Monitor and enforce cleanliness, hygiene, and infection‑control measures in the clinic.
• Follow departmental policies, quality‑control standards, and participate in training programs.
• Perform additional duties that support the clinical education process.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related healthcare field from a recognized university.
• SCFHS classification as Dental Assistant, CSSD Technician, or Specialist.
• 1–3 years of clinical or academic dental assisting experience; experience in an undergraduate dental education setting is preferred.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of dental procedures and sterilization protocols.
• Proficiency with dental software, clinical dashboards, and digital record‑keeping tools.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
