Design Engineer

About the role

As a Design Engineer at Hilti, you will create bill of materials from design work, develop modular support solutions, and perform basic engineering of anchor and direct‑fastening applications using Hilti’s proprietary PROFIS MSE software. You will work closely with marketing, sales, logistics and other internal teams to deliver compliant, safe, and value‑engineered solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Derive detailed bill of materials for Hilti projects.
• Design modular support systems and basic anchor/direct‑fastening solutions using PROFIS MSE.
• Prepare engineering reports and ensure adherence to relevant codes and Hilti standards.
• Collaborate with marketing, sales, logistics and supply‑chain functions for value engineering.
• Support the Engineering Competence Centre (ECC) in delivering medium‑complexity applications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering.
• 2‑3 years of design experience; sales experience is a plus.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Strong time‑management, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret multidisciplinary engineering drawings.
• Dynamic, high‑performance mindset with capacity to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Hilti’s PROFIS MSE software suite.
