Design Manager – Mobility Systems (Expo 2030 Riyadh)

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Design Manager to lead the mobility‑systems design effort for Expo 2030 Riyadh. The role will oversee planning, design review, coordination and stakeholder management of a wide range of transportation‑related infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the design, integration and constructability of roads, highways, junctions, streetscapes, parking facilities and park‑and‑ride systems.
• Lead the development of pedestrian networks, cycling infrastructure and related transport utilities.
• Coordinate multiple consultants and internal teams to ensure designs comply with project requirements and sustainability standards.
• Maintain alignment of design packages with programme schedules, budgets and scope.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations to keep infrastructure designs on track.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and ensure clear communication across all parties.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale infrastructure design programmes.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills with diverse consulting teams.
• Ability to ensure designs meet regulatory, sustainability and project standards.
