DevOps Release Management Engineer

About the role

The DevOps & Release Management Engineer acts as the gatekeeper of our production environment, designing and executing CI/CD strategies for a fintech ecosystem that includes Fineract, ERPNext, mobile apps, Java/Spring Boot middleware, a credit decision engine, and BPM workflows. Operating fully on Google Cloud Platform, you will ensure zero‑downtime releases while meeting strict regulatory and high‑availability requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end release lifecycle across development, QA, UAT and production, enforcing release gates, change‑management controls and rollback procedures.
• Design, build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines for monolithic and micro‑service applications, integrating testing, code quality and security scans.
• Manage GCP infrastructure as code (Terraform) and optimize Kubernetes clusters for scaling, auto‑recovery and resource efficiency.
• Administer service meshes, API gateways and identity/access management (Keycloak) for secure middleware deployment.
• Implement monitoring, logging and telemetry (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) to detect post‑release anomalies and support incident resolution.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering and release management, preferably in banking or fintech.
• Hands‑on expertise with Google Cloud Platform and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven ability to design enterprise‑grade CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins or ArgoCD.
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform) and configuration management.
