Director, Finance

About the role

The Director of Finance will act as the strategic steward of Faena Wadi Safar’s financial health, leading all finance operations from pre‑opening through ongoing operations. Reporting to the General Manager and partnering with ownership, this role ensures transparency, accuracy, compliance, and commercial excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall financial strategy aligned with business and operational goals.
• Lead pre‑opening financial planning, including budgets, CAPEX allocation, and operational forecasting.
• Establish and maintain financial systems, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
• Oversee accurate financial reporting in accordance with IFRS, Saudi regulations, and corporate standards.
• Monitor budgets, cost centers, and performance metrics across departments.
• Drive revenue integrity, expense management, and profitability while supporting ultra‑luxury service standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of precision and accountability.

Required profile

• Senior finance leader with experience in luxury hospitality, resorts, or complex mixed‑use developments.
• Proven track record in pre‑opening financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and CAPEX planning.
• Strong understanding of Saudi financial laws, tax obligations, and audit requirements.
• Ability to translate financial insight into strategic decisions for owners and senior leadership.

Required skills
