Director - Modern Methods of Construction

About the role

Qiddiya is seeking a senior leader to define and drive its Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) strategy. The Director will champion Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) and modular construction across the mega‑project, ensuring innovative, efficient delivery of large‑scale facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement and oversee Qiddiya’s DFMA and modular construction strategy aligned with delivery objectives.
• Lead R&D initiatives to evaluate emerging MMC technologies and recommend adoption pathways.
• Provide technical leadership and subject‑matter expertise to business units and delivery partners.
• Establish and manage a supplier, manufacturer and technology provider evaluation framework.
• Collaborate with design, engineering and construction teams to embed DFMA principles from concept through delivery.
• Develop policies, procedures and technical guidelines for modular and prefabricated construction.
• Coordinate knowledge‑sharing sessions and training to build organisational DFMA capability.
• Monitor international MMC/DFMA trends and benchmark against global best practices.
• Act as primary liaison with consultants, industry experts and academic partners.
• Support strategic planning and oversee pilot projects showcasing MMC innovation.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related field.
• 15‑20 years of experience in large‑scale project delivery.
• 7‑10 years of hands‑on experience with DFMA, MMC or modular construction.
• Proven track record of leading R&D and innovation programmes in construction.
