Director of Food & Beverage

About the role

Chedi Wadi Safar, a luxury destination in Diriyah, Riyadh, is looking for a Director of Food & Beverage to lead its dining and culinary operations. The successful candidate will oversee the launch and management of multiple restaurants and an events venue, drive financial performance and build high-performing teams, while promoting Saudi culinary heritage through local sourcing, innovation and talent development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the opening and operation of six restaurants and an events space, including two signature dining venues.
• Develop, mentor and inspire the Food & Beverage teams.
• Oversee financial performance across all dining outlets, focusing on revenue growth, cost control and profitability.
• Maintain high standards of food quality, service delivery, food safety and guest satisfaction.
• Promote Saudi culinary heritage through local sourcing and the development of local talent.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic Food & Beverage initiatives and ensure operational consistency across venues.
• Introduce innovative dining concepts and service improvements.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in five-star luxury hospitality.
• Proven experience with full P&L accountability, budgeting, revenue optimisation and profitability improvement.
• Experience launching new hospitality venues or dining concepts is highly advantageous.
• Fluent English; Arabic is desirable but not mandatory.
• GCC hospitality experience is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of luxury Food & Beverage operations, culinary innovation and guest experience management.
• Excellent team leadership, communication, strategic planning, decision-making and operational management.
• Knowledge of food safety, financial controls and service quality.
