Director of Hajj & Umrah Operations

About the role

The Director of Hajj & Umrah Operations will lead Mobily’s strategy to acquire and serve pilgrims across all travel channels, ensuring high efficiency and revenue growth for voice and data services.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute Hajj & Umrah strategies that drive prepaid acquisition and maximize ARPU.
• Manage global sales channels and partners, overseeing market stock levels, marketing activities and brand awareness.
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, local and international tour operators, and service organisations to boost acquisition and revenue.
• Design and implement distribution networks covering upstream and downstream channels for profitable growth.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create tailored product propositions for pilgrims and ensure appropriate channel margins.
• Control cost of acquisition and cost to serve for the Hajj & Umrah channel.
• Analyse country‑specific data and work with Marketing to target profitable destinations.
• Develop granular demand forecasts and monitor commission budgets for partner vendors.
• Establish local and international distribution agreements with key accounts.
• Oversee the Hajj season serving more than 15 million pilgrims, offering Mobily products and services before arrival.
• Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to maintain product leadership.
• Drive multi‑channel acquisition across land, sea, air borders and pilgrim hotels.
• Execute, monitor and evaluate programs to improve direct sales performance.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in managing large‑scale travel or telecom operations.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with government bodies and international tour operators.
• Ability to develop and manage distribution networks and partnership agreements.
• Analytical mindset for demand forecasting, cost control and market analysis.
• Experience handling high‑volume seasonal operations serving millions of customers.
