Director of Learning and Training Institution

About the role

The executive academy is seeking a visionary leader to head its Learning and Training Institution. Reporting to the board, the Director will shape the academy’s strategic direction, ensure operational excellence, and expand its impact across the market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organization’s strategic and operational plans.
• Oversee day‑to‑day business operations and achieve performance and revenue targets.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with government bodies, universities, and private sector entities.
• Design and launch professional training programmes and industry‑recognised certifications.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and supervise outsourced operational partners.
• Ensure robust financial management, governance, compliance and risk management.
• Represent the academy with key industry leaders and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 10 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven background in training, learning & development, executive education or academy management, preferably within retail or wholesale.
• Demonstrated success in leading strategic initiatives and organisational transformation.
