Director of Talent Development

About the role

The Director of Talent Development will lead Rosewood Amaala’s learning, development and performance culture strategy. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape the resort’s capability framework, ensure alignment with brand standards, and drive a culture of continuous learning and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Talent Development strategy aligned with Rosewood brand standards and operational goals.
• Lead the full Forbes Standards Training program, designing measurable training for all staff levels.
• Design and deliver comprehensive Five‑Star service training, embedding Forbes behaviours into daily operations.
• Conduct readiness audits, mystery assessments and service calibration workshops.
• Oversee all learning initiatives, including orientation, brand immersion, leadership development, technical training and compliance programs.
• Design pre‑opening training programs to ensure operational readiness.
• Manage performance frameworks, goal setting, appraisals and development planning.
• Coach leaders on performance conversations, service recovery and associate development.
• Monitor training effectiveness through KPIs, guest feedback and audit results.

Required profile

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in talent development, learning and performance management.
• Proven ability to design and deliver large‑scale training programs in a luxury hospitality environment.
• Strong partnership skills with operational leaders and senior executives.
