Director, People & Organization

About the role

The Director, People & Organization will lead the People & Organization agenda for Majid Al Futtaim Development, acting as a strategic partner to drive growth, organisational effectiveness and capability building across existing and emerging markets.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the SVP P&O and department heads to design and execute the P&O strategy aligned with business needs and market dynamics.
• Lead end‑to‑end people and organisational set‑up for new development entities, including operating model design, structure definition, leadership hiring and talent deployment.
• Provide functional leadership on P&O policies, processes and procedures and ensure alignment with the overall MAF Development people strategy.
• Build and execute workforce planning, organisational design and scaling capabilities for current and future growth markets.
• Manage talent data and analytics to inform leadership on engagement, development, compensation and attrition trends.
• Translate business objectives into strategic initiatives that support profitability, employee engagement and succession planning.
• Support leadership in establishing fit‑for‑purpose structures, governance frameworks and change‑management plans.
• Collaborate with the MAF head office on Leadership Institute programmes to strengthen the management pipeline.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 15 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in Retail, Real Estate or FMCG within the GCC.
• 5‑7 years in a senior management or leadership role.
• Proven strategic leadership, business partnering, stakeholder management, budgeting and reporting skills.
