Discipline Manager – Water Features

About the role

The Discipline Manager – Water Features will lead the planning, design, coordination and delivery of water feature systems across a variety of large‑scale projects, ensuring innovative, sustainable and operationally efficient solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the water features discipline across multiple projects and design stages.
• Oversee design of decorative fountains, waterfalls, ponds, lakes, water walls and special aquatic systems.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with landscape architects, civil, MEP and structural engineers and other stakeholders.
• Review and approve calculations, specifications, drawings and construction documents.
• Develop sustainable solutions that optimise water usage and energy efficiency.
• Manage resources, budgets, schedules and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to engineers and designers.
• Support procurement through technical evaluations and contractor assessments.
• Monitor construction, installation, testing, commissioning and handover phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Water Engineering, Landscape Architecture or related field.
• 10‑15 years of experience in water feature design, engineering and project delivery, including leadership.
• Proven experience delivering complex water feature projects in hospitality, mixed‑use, theme parks, public realm or master‑planned developments.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, pumps, filtration, water treatment and control systems.
• Familiarity with international design standards, health and safety regulations and sustainability requirements.
• Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng) or PMP certification is an advantage.
