Drilling Rig Foreman (Saudi Arabia)

About the role

Eram Talent is recruiting a Drilling Rig Foreman for its Unconventional Resources Drilling Department (URDD) in Saudi Arabia. The foreman supervises field operations of land drilling and workover rigs working on deep or critical wells, acting as the main liaison between the company and the contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee operations of a contract rig performing drilling or remedial work on wells from 18,000 to 23,000 feet, ensuring the contractor works safely and meets all contractual obligations.
• Administer contracts on site and coordinate delivery of well materials and equipment so they are available when needed.
• Ensure rig personnel and service providers comply with Saudi Aramco safety standards, including Blowout Prevention (BOP) standards, equipment configuration, testing and crew response.
• Approve the contractor's daily tour report and make recommendations on alternative methods or equipment in unusual situations.
• Work with drilling and workover engineers to follow modern drilling practices and ensure rig and equipment are properly maintained to avoid downtime.
• Perform other duties as directed by the superintendent.

Required profile

• B.S. degree in Engineering with seven years of experience in drilling and workover operations, including adequate supervisory experience on a drilling or workover rig.
• Proven experience supervising land drilling and workover rigs, including deep and critical well operations.
• Experience managing contractors, coordinating field operations and ensuring compliance with operational and HSE requirements.
• Willingness to work in remote locations and stay in mobile camps on a 28/28 rotational schedule.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of drilling operations, well control and blowout prevention (BOP).
• Knowledge of rig safety standards.
