E-commerce Officer – Food & Frozen Goods

About the role

The E‑commerce Officer (Food & Frozen Food) will manage our digital storefront, ensuring product listings, pricing and compliance are up‑to‑date while coordinating temperature‑controlled order fulfillment. The role bridges online sales with cold‑chain logistics to guarantee fresh, safe delivery of perishable goods.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate online catalogues, including ingredients, allergen warnings, nutritional facts and storage instructions; manage weight‑based pricing, bulk bundles and institutional pack sizes.
• Oversee the automated flow of orders to refrigerated warehouses, prioritize processing by delivery schedule and region, and liaise with 3PL refrigerated couriers.
• Monitor real‑time inventory, implement FIFO logic online, and trigger discounts for batches nearing expiry.
• Set up alerts for low stock on high‑demand items and prevent out‑of‑stock sales.
• Plan and execute online promotions, flash sales and seasonal campaigns; analyse buying patterns to provide demand forecasts to production.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Food Science or related field.
• 2–4 years of e‑commerce operations experience, with at least 1 year in food, FMCG or perishable‑goods sector.
• Basic understanding of HACCP principles and cold‑chain logistics.

Required skills

• Proficiency with e‑commerce platforms such as Shopify or Magento (or equivalent food‑delivery/B2B systems).
• Experience with ERP inventory modules like SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Knowledge of cold‑chain logistics and temperature‑controlled fulfillment.
