Early Career Trainee – Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

As an Early Career Trainee – Manufacturing Engineer you will support manufacturing operations on the shop floor, helping to implement and improve production processes. Working under senior Manufacturing Engineers you will gain hands‑on experience in workflow development, tooling design, documentation control and continuous‑improvement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot daily production issues and analyse deviations in coordination with Operations, Quality and Maintenance.
• Assist in maintaining standard work, approved procedures and manufacturing documentation such as work instructions, SOPs, routings and MBOM.
• Support equipment, tooling and fixture design, including layout optimisation, ergonomics and safety enhancements.
• Participate in Lean initiatives – 5S, waste reduction, Kaizen events and productivity improvement projects.
• Help validate processes for new projects and contribute to standardisation of tools and best practices across cells.
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality and Operations leaders to ensure safe, efficient and compliant execution.
• Promote and follow EHS requirements and company policies on the shop floor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Control Engineering or a related technical field.
• Fresh graduate or up to one year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Fundamental understanding of shop‑floor operations and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles such as 5S, waste reduction and standard work.
• Legal right to work in Saudi Arabia without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Basic to intermediate proficiency in CAD software (e.g., PTC Creo, Siemens NX or equivalent).
• Control engineering background with exposure to automation, control systems or industrial instrumentation.
• Familiarity with manufacturing documentation (work instructions, SOPs, MBOM).
