Economic and Social Infrastructure Internship

About the role

The Islamic Development Bank offers a six‑month internship in Jeddah focused on economic and social infrastructure projects. The position provides recent graduates with hands‑on experience in transportation, urban development, and environmental sustainability while supporting the bank's departmental objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in research and data analysis related to transport economics, urban planning, and climate‑change impacts.
• Support project monitoring and knowledge‑management activities.
• Contribute to reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.

Required profile

• Graduated within the past 12 months with a Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctoral degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Environmental Science, Climate Change, or Economics (transport focus).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent in English; Arabic and/or French are desirable.

• Knowledge of environment or water‑resource management concepts.
