Editor - Point of Interest

About the role

As a Point of Interest (POI) Editor at Hudhud Maps, you will be responsible for maintaining and enriching the company’s POI database, ensuring that map users receive accurate and up‑to‑date information about businesses, landmarks and attractions.

Key responsibilities

• Create, review and edit POI entries, including business listings, landmarks and attractions, to guarantee consistency and relevance.
• Research and verify data by cross‑referencing multiple sources, contacting establishments and, when needed, conducting on‑site visits.
• Enter new POI records and update existing ones with details such as contact information, opening hours, descriptions and images.
• Perform quality checks to detect and correct errors, outdated entries and inconsistencies.
• Organise POI data into appropriate categories, tags and attributes to improve searchability and user experience.
• Collaborate with data analysts, developers and product managers to coordinate updates and resolve data issues.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in data editing, content management or a related role, preferably within mapping or location‑based services.
• Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to maintain high data accuracy.
• Excellent research, analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
