Electrical Engineer – Technical Professional Engineer III

About the role

Wood is recruiting a Technical Professional Engineer III (Electrical) to join its Al‑Khobar office in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on delivering detailed electrical designs, specifications and overseeing construction activities for energy and materials projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop designs and performance specifications for components, systems and processes in line with project requirements.
• Review vendor documentation and actively participate in design review meetings.
• Monitor construction, electrical installations and testing, and witness contractor quality‑control inspections to ensure compliance with codes, standards, approved drawings and HSE requirements.
• Attend site and office meetings with contractors, prepare minutes and reports, and support project documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum six years of engineering experience, including at least five years in a construction/PMC environment.
• Strong knowledge of engineering practices, economic principles, calculation methods, international codes, standards, procedures and specifications.
• Experience on both standalone projects and portfolio projects is desirable.
