Electrical Technician – Control Panel Assembly

About the role

The role involves building, wiring and assembling control system cabinets such as DCS, RTU, ESD and PLC panels for manufacturing and site execution. The technician will follow approved drawings and OEM/IEC standards while ensuring safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and wire control panels and cabinets according to approved general arrangement and wiring drawings (DeltaV, Bristol Babcock RTU, or equivalent platforms).
• Install and terminate wire ducts, DIN rails, terminal blocks, ferrules, and cable accessories, ensuring proper grounding and cable glanding per specifications.
• Label and tag components, cables and terminations following project documentation standards.
• Conduct point‑to‑point continuity checks and pre‑FAT inspections on completed panels, supporting Factory Acceptance Testing and implementing corrective actions.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs and loop diagrams, and maintain tools, consumables and 5S housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in control panel wiring/assembly, industrial electrical work or instrumentation.
• Familiarity with terminal block systems such as Phoenix Contact or Weidmuller.
• Ability to work independently from electrical and wiring drawings.
• Basic proficiency with hand tools and crimping tools (ferrule crimping, wire stripping, torque tools).
