Electrical Technician (Electrician)

About the role

The Electrical Technician will be responsible for assembling, installing, testing and maintaining electrical wiring, equipment, appliances and fixtures across Marriott facilities in Madinah. The role requires strict adherence to safety standards, local electrical codes and the National Electric Code while providing reliable service to guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Inspect and diagnose malfunctioning tools, equipment, electrical systems, apparatus and components.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers and other components.
• Use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes to verify system performance.
• Test batteries in generators, emergency lighting and related backup systems.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications, the National Electric Code and local codes.
• Read and follow blueprints and schematics.
• Respond to repair requests, perform preventative maintenance and manage maintenance inventory.
• Requisition parts and supplies as needed while following all company safety and security policies.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• At least two years of related electrical or facilities experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to follow safety procedures, report hazards and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Use of testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code and local electrical codes.
• Planning and installing wiring layouts, connecting circuit breakers and transformers.
• Performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Inventory management and parts requisition.
