Electrical Technician – Maintenance & Troubleshooting

About the role

KBR is seeking an Electrical Technician to perform maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical systems, equipment, and facilities. The role focuses on preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day electrical maintenance on HV/LV switchgear, control gear, transformers, and related equipment.
• Perform testing of protective relays, circuit breakers, busbars, motor starters, ATS, and partial discharge measurements.
• Carry out on‑line motor current signature analysis and troubleshoot electrical assets to improve availability.
• Follow work orders from the Electrical Supervisor, record progress, and submit regular reports.
• Enforce SATORP safety, quality, and environmental procedures during all activities.
• Support switchgear operations in the sub‑station when required and perform other duties assigned by the Electrical Leader.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
• Good understanding of mechanical and electro‑hydraulic system maintenance.
• Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance principles.
• Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures, and HSE regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
