Electrical Technician – Power & Desalination Plant

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Technician to join the maintenance team of a Combined Cycle Power Plant and adjacent Desalination Plant. The successful candidate will ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation of all electrical assets, supporting continuous power and water production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on major electrical systems following OEM manuals and industry best practices.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot and test equipment to determine failure conditions and implement repairs.
• Coordinate with plant operations personnel and the Electrical Foreman/Engineer to resolve control equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate records in the CMMS, update permits and ensure compliance with health, safety and IMS requirements.
• Organize spares, tools and equipment needed for maintenance activities.
• Support 24‑hour plant operation by being available for short‑notice call‑outs.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with electrical maintenance in a power generation or desalination environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and follow strict safety procedures.
• Physical fitness to work at heights, in confined spaces and handle loads up to 25 kg.
• Valid Saudi driving licence and willingness to reside in Jubail for rapid emergency response.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
