Engineering Technician – EOD (Madinah, Saudi Arabia)

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Technician (EOD) to join our facilities team in Madinah. The role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines; carry necessary equipment such as tools and radios.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved procedures.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and clean work areas thoroughly.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on plumbing, electrical components, HVAC, and guestroom items.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping and engineering inventory, and use lockout/tagout procedures before work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Input air‑handler schedules and adjust temperature settings using computer systems.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to follow safety, security, and company policies, including use of lockout/tagout.
• Physical capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and strong guest service orientation.
