Environmental Engineer – Mid Level

About the role

AECOM is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support a range of infrastructure projects. You will work under senior engineers, applying data analysis, testing, and technical problem‑solving to deliver environmental solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and correlate engineering data using established procedures.
• Perform detailed calculations and routine tests on defined project portions.
• Propose solutions for new technical challenges encountered on assignments.
• Identify discrepancies in results and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to entry‑level engineers.
• Execute work within agreed budgets and schedules with moderate supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Civil, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of professional experience in environmental engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently on defined tasks while managing multiple assignments.

• Field sampling methodologies.
• Environmental modeling and technical calculations.
• Proficiency with engineering software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
