Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator

About the role

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator ensures that the hotel maintains the highest standards of food safety, occupational health, and environmental protection. You will lead inspections, training, and compliance activities across all departments, supporting a safe and sustainable guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of kitchens, outlets, stores, engineering areas, and guest spaces based on food safety and EHS standards.
• Follow up on corrective actions and coordinate with department heads to close gaps.
• Deliver EHS and food‑safety training for all employees, contractors, and new hires.
• Organise and minute EHS meetings, and support audits for suppliers and contractors.
• Assist departments with risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective‑action plans.
• Maintain and review all EHS and food‑safety records on a monthly basis.
• Participate in HACCP, ISO, sustainability, and OHSMS audits and ensure compliance.
• Lead the implementation of occupational health and safety manuals, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor and report OHS performance to senior management and regulatory authorities.
• Oversee Rotana Earth programs and other corporate social‑responsibility initiatives.

Required profile

• Passionate, dynamic health and safety professional with a strong customer‑service orientation.
• Experience conducting inspections and managing corrective‑action processes.
• Ability to train and engage employees, contractors, and management on EHS topics.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
