Equipment Supervisor

About the role

ABIS is looking for an experienced Equipment Supervisor to oversee the operation, maintenance and management of equipment used in its projects. The supervisor ensures equipment runs efficiently, coordinates maintenance schedules, supervises equipment operators and technicians and keeps compliance with safety regulations. The role works closely with project managers, procurement teams and maintenance personnel to improve equipment availability and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily equipment operations and maintenance activities.
• Plan and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Monitor equipment performance and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Lead equipment operators and technicians, giving guidance and training where needed.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance and inspections.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for equipment availability and spare parts.
• Identify equipment issues and put solutions in place to improve productivity and safety.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in equipment supervision, preferably in construction, oil & gas or industry.
• Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance practices, safety regulations and operational standards.
• Leadership and team management skills, good communication and organisational ability.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.
