Estimation Manager – Civil, Infrastructure and Industrial Projects

About the role

An experienced Estimation Manager is sought to lead the estimating and tendering function for major civil, infrastructure, building and industrial projects. The role covers the full bid and estimation process, producing accurate, competitive and commercially viable proposals that support the company's growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage estimation and tendering for large-scale construction projects
• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, contracts and commercial requirements
• Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, pricing schedules and bid submissions
• Develop competitive pricing strategies while protecting project profitability
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning and project teams during bid preparation
• Evaluate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors and vendors
• Analyze project risks, opportunities and commercial implications, and monitor market trends, material costs, labour rates and subcontractor pricing
• Carry out value engineering and cost optimisation
• Take part in client meetings, technical clarifications, negotiations and pre-award discussions
• Maintain estimating databases, historical cost records and benchmarking systems
• Mentor estimation engineers and support staff and ensure compliance with company procedures, client requirements and industry standards

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in construction estimation and tendering
• At least 10 years in an Estimation Manager role leading large-scale bids
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia with strong knowledge of local construction markets
• Experience with EPC contractors and main contracting companies
• Track record estimating major civil, infrastructure, building and industrial construction projects
