Event Operations Excellence Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Event Operations Excellence Manager to lead our Project Management Office (PMO) and drive excellence across event operations projects. The role will ensure governance, reporting, and resource optimization while aligning initiatives with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain project management methodologies, standards, and governance frameworks.
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of projects to ensure strategic alignment.
• Develop and manage portfolio dashboards, KPIs, and executive‑level reporting.
• Monitor project performance, risks, issues, and dependencies, providing actionable insights.
• Prioritize projects to maximize ROI and strategic impact.
• Manage resource allocation and capacity planning across multiple projects.
• Ensure compliance with PMO processes, templates, and documentation standards.
• Lead lessons‑learned initiatives and continuous improvement of PMO functions.
• Support the event operations team to increase organizational visibility.
• Act as the primary liaison between the event operations department and other company departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, IT, Engineering or related field (required).
• Master’s degree in Project Management or Business Administration (preferred).
• 3–7+ years of project/program management experience, including at least 2 years in a PMO leadership role.
• Proven track record of establishing or maturing PMOs in complex organizations.
• Strong experience in portfolio management, governance, and executive reporting.

Required skills

• PMP® certification (required).
• PgMP® or PfMP® certification (preferred).
• Agile certifications such as PMI‑ACP®, SAFe, CSM, or PSM (a plus).
• ITIL® Foundation or COBIT® (desirable).
• Proficiency with project management tools: MS Project, Jira, Clarity PPM, Smartsheet, Power BI.
