Excavation Foreman

About the role

The Excavation Foreman will lead daily excavation operations on construction sites, coordinating crews, equipment and work sequencing to meet project requirements while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise excavation activities and ensure compliance with approved method statements.
• Conduct pre‑task safety briefings, enforce HSE practices and promptly address site hazards.
• Coordinate with the superintendent and other production interfaces to monitor excavation limits.
• Review daily work outputs, report progress and issues to the Production department, and support corrective actions.
• Manage site organization, equipment readiness, and material handling interfaces.

Required profile

• Foreman‑level experience in excavation with proven ability to lead field crews.
• Understanding of excavation methods, sequencing and basic quality controls (grades, levels, limits).
• Ability to enforce HSE requirements, conduct toolbox talks and maintain day‑to‑day safety compliance.
• Proficiency in reading work plans, drawings and site instructions; surveying/level coordination is a plus.
• Strong communication skills in a multicultural environment and capability to provide clear updates and risk escalations.
