Executive Director – Commercial, Planning & Project Controls

About the role

The Executive Director leads the Commercial, Planning and Project Controls (CP&P) function within the Projects Department, overseeing a team of 50+ professionals. This senior position ensures successful execution of a global project portfolio from master planning through asset hand‑over, aligning with corporate targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement CP&P strategy and business plans aligned with corporate objectives.
• Represent SEVEN with local and international partners, managing stakeholder relationships.
• Lead corporate budgeting for projects, monitor budget utilization, and ensure compliance with policies.
• Establish CP&P governance, policies, and controls to drive operational excellence.
• Direct day‑to‑day CP&P operations, ensuring adherence to procedures.
• Manage performance, coaching, and development of directors and senior leaders.
• Oversee cost planning, estimating, benchmarking, and commercial reviews for tenders.
• Control project costs, produce monthly reporting, and manage cash‑flow forecasting.
• Lead change management and claims processes as a member of the Change Committee.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in commercial, planning or project controls within large, complex projects.
• Track record of managing multidisciplinary teams of 50+ members.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience in international environments.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans and budgets.
• Excellent governance and risk‑management capabilities.
