Expert Quality Engineer

About the role

The Expert Quality Engineer will act as the senior quality authority across multiple squads and platforms, defining test strategies and driving automation for complex applications, integrations and payment solutions. You will ensure that all technology releases meet the highest standards of reliability, performance, security and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Define comprehensive test strategies for web, mobile and API solutions.
• Design, implement and maintain automated testing frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Appium and REST Assured.
• Lead external certification cycles with payment schemes (mada, Visa, Mastercard) and financial regulators, preparing test evidence and audit documentation.
• Conduct functional, integration, regression, performance, security and reliability testing.
• Review requirements and designs to identify quality risks early and drive systemic improvements.
• Increase automation coverage and embed continuous testing in CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior quality engineers and raise testing capability across the chapter.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering with ownership of test strategy and automation frameworks.
• Proven experience managing external certification with payment schemes or financial regulators.
• Strong knowledge of payments standards (ISO 8583, ISO 20022, EMV) and settlement/reconciliation flows.
