Exploration Director

About the role

The Exploration Director will lead and expand the mineral exploration consulting business for a leading mining and geological services provider. Reporting to the CEO and based at the Head Office in Jeddah, the role combines technical governance, strategic business development, and senior client relationship management across Saudi Arabia and international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Drive commercial growth by defining market strategy and expanding the consulting portfolio across exploration, resource evaluation, geotechnical, and ESG services.
• Provide strategic oversight for target generation, drilling programs, and resource evaluation, ensuring compliance with international standards such as JORC, NI 43-101, and S‑K 1300.
• Oversee complex client engagements, manage project scope, schedule, and budget, and foster an accountability‑driven consulting culture.
• Mentor senior exploration geologists and technical consultants, establishing succession plans and capability development frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Economic Geology, Geological Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of progressive mineral exploration experience, including 8‑10 years in a reputable geological or mining consulting firm.
• Active professional registration as a Geologist or equivalent (e.g., P.Geo., CGeol, AusIMM) is highly desirable.
• Based in Jeddah with willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
