Explorer Manager

About the role

The Explorer Manager will lead Rosewood Red Sea’s Explorer Club, designing and delivering enriching, educational, and fun experiences for children and families. Reporting to the Director of Wellness & Spa, this role ensures that all children’s programming, babysitting services, and family activities reflect the brand’s Relationship Hospitality philosophy.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Explorer Club, guaranteeing safe and memorable experiences for guests of all ages.
• Design innovative recreational, educational, cultural, environmental, and wellness‑inspired programs for multiple age groups.
• Recruit, train, coach, and motivate a multicultural team to meet Forbes Five‑Star service standards.
• Maintain the highest standards of child safety, safeguarding, hygiene, and operational excellence.
• Develop seasonal themed activities, family events, and destination‑inspired experiences unique to the Red Sea region.
• Manage babysitting services in line with hotel policies and safety protocols.
• Build personalized relationships with families to enhance guest satisfaction.
• Control departmental scheduling, budgeting, payroll, inventory, and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with Wellness & Spa, F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering, Concierge and other departments to create integrated family experiences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Recreation Management, Hospitality Management, Child Development or a related field.
• Minimum three years managing a Kids Club, Family Recreation, or similar program in a luxury or ultra‑luxury hotel, resort, cruise line or family destination.
• Proven leadership of multicultural teams and experience creating children’s recreational programs.
• Strong knowledge of child safeguarding, risk management, health & safety and emergency procedures.
• Experience planning family events and destination‑inspired children’s activities.
• Background in budgeting, payroll, scheduling and inventory management.
• Current Pediatric First Aid, CPR and Child Safeguarding certifications are highly desirable.
• Fluent spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.
