Extrusion Sheet Line Machine Operator (Plastic)

About the role

ABIS is looking for a dedicated Extrusion Sheet Line Machine Operator (Plastic) to manage and operate extrusion equipment in its manufacturing facility. The operator sets up, runs and maintains plastic extrusion sheet line machines to produce high-quality plastic sheets, monitors machine performance, carries out routine maintenance and troubleshoots issues so production stays continuous and efficient. Attention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standards are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor extrusion sheet line machines to produce plastic sheets for PC (polycarbonate sheet).
• Set up machines, including tooling and parameter adjustments, before each production run.
• Carry out routine inspections and maintenance to keep machines performing optimally.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues quickly to minimise downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards during operations.
• Maintain accurate production records and report deviations or concerns to supervisors.
• Work with the maintenance team on repairs and preventive maintenance.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent; technical training in plastics processing is a plus.
• Proven experience as an extrusion machine operator in the plastic industry.
• Knowledge of extrusion sheet line machinery and plastic materials.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
