Facilities Management (FM) Operator

About the role

The FM Operator ensures the smooth day‑to‑day operation, maintenance and security of the facility. You will be the first point of contact for the school representative, monitor building systems and respond quickly to occupant requests and emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily cooling and hot‑water temperature levels.
• Operate and monitor the Building Management System (BMS) and report abnormal readings.
• Monitor fire alarm, firefighting, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, low‑current, building fabric and sports‑field equipment.
• Perform facility inspections, report conditions affecting operations and respond to emergencies.
• Log electrical and water consumption hourly or as required.
• Monitor domestic and septic water tank levels and coordinate refilling or emptying with service providers.
• Respond to alarms, perform light reactive and predictive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Coordinate monthly fire drills and provide reports.
• Support event setup for sound, master clock and air‑conditioning scheduling.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• Strong multitasking, problem‑solving and quick decision‑making abilities.
• Fluent English; Arabic preferred.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Experience with Computer‑Aided Facility Management (CAFM) software.
• Understanding of HVAC, fire alarm, firefighting, electrical, plumbing and low‑current systems.
• Ability to monitor and report water‑tank levels and utility consumption.
