Facilities Manager – Maintenance & Engineering (MENA)

About the role

The Facilities Manager is a key leader within Amazon's Saudi Arabia operations, responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of all facility equipment and infrastructure. You will lead a team of Facilities and Service Technicians, oversee third‑party contractors, and support 24/7 warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop the Facilities team, ensuring safety standards and high performance.
• Implement and maintain preventive maintenance programs for all equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain accurate activity records.
• Manage local construction and renovation projects, as well as support larger capital projects.
• Coordinate with third‑party contractors and act as the on‑call point of contact for emergencies.
• Develop training plans, track budgets and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong safety focus with experience training and coaching technical teams.
• Ability to identify root causes, develop corrective actions and manage multiple projects.
• Self‑motivated, customer‑centric and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, 24/7 environment.
• Experience supervising both internal staff and external contractors.

Required skills

• Power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, wiring methods.
• Photo‑eye components, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers.
• Servo drives and frequency inverters.
• Preventive maintenance program development.
