Factory Director

About the role

The company is launching a specialist fabrication and production facility in Saudi Arabia to support large‑scale events, exhibitions, scenic builds and brand activations. As Factory Director you will lead the new plant from its formation stage, shaping the operating model, production standards and team structure.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee full workshop operations, including planning, workflow, production scheduling and resource allocation.
• Manage multi‑discipline teams covering joinery/carpentry, metalwork/welding, print/graphics, painting/finishing and foam fabrication.
• Translate design concepts, shop drawings and technical specifications into practical production methods.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, engineering, procurement, warehouse and installation teams to ensure smooth delivery.
• Maintain quality standards, client specifications and safety compliance for all fabricated assets.
• Supervise machinery maintenance, inventory control and cost management.
• Report performance, delivery, quality, safety and cost metrics to senior management.
• Build, mentor and develop a high‑performing team capable of meeting tight event deadlines.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in event fabrication, exhibitions, scenic production or custom manufacturing.
• Proven leadership of multi‑discipline workshop or factory operations.
• Strong background in events, exhibitions or brand activation sectors.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, shop drawings and CAD files.
