Faculty Member – Pharmacology (General Medicine)

About the role

Batterjee Medical College is seeking a dynamic Faculty Member in Pharmacology to join its General Medicine program. The role involves delivering high‑quality pharmacology education to medical students, supporting their academic development, and contributing to the institution’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pharmacology lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions covering general, systemic, and clinical pharmacology.
• Integrate pharmacology teaching with case‑based learning (CBL/PBL) and use digital tools such as Blackboard.
• Prepare and administer assessments using platforms like ExamSoft and maintain accurate academic records.
• Provide academic advising, mentorship, and timely feedback to students.
• Conduct and publish research in pharmacology or related biomedical fields and present at conferences.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards (e.g., NCAAA) and contribute to curriculum development.
• Prepare course and program reports, and participate in departmental meetings and academic committees.
• Collaborate with clinical faculty for integrated teaching initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in Pharmacology or a related biomedical field; MBBS with a pharmacology focus is preferred.
• Proven experience teaching pharmacology in a medical or health‑sciences program.
• Strong understanding of clinical pharmacology and its applications.
• Familiarity with integrated curricula and modern teaching approaches.
• Experience using LMS platforms, particularly Blackboard, and digital teaching tools.
