Field Operator – Power Plant Operations

About the role

The Field Operator will monitor and control the operation parameters of the Nairiyah 1 CCGT plant, ensuring safe start‑up and shut‑down in line with standard operating procedures. The role works closely with the CCR Operator and Shift Supervisor to maintain plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all plant parameters, record readings on log sheets and summarize shift activities.
• Inspect equipment and auxiliaries, report abnormalities, and coordinate equipment change‑over and maintenance isolation.
• Raise work requests for faulty equipment, maintain housekeeping, and ensure proper waste disposal.
• Assist in training new operators and report near‑misses, deviations, and risk controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years experience in power or desalination plant operations, preferably in the Middle East.
• Familiarity with plant P&IDs, SOPs, work instructions, basic control logic and emergency procedures.
• Ability to work in a remote location and follow safety rules and regulations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of P&IDs, SOPs, control logics, emission monitoring and waste classification.
• Understanding of firefighting equipment, PPE, first‑aid measures and QHSE management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
