Field Service Engineer – MDTotco Systems

About the role

The Field Service Engineer will install, commission, and maintain MDTotco drilling instrumentation systems worldwide. You will ensure equipment operates to company standards, provide on‑site training, and deliver rapid support to maximise customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and commission MDTotco products at customer sites.
• Perform repair, service, inspection, and routine maintenance of instrumentation equipment.
• Monitor system performance daily, generate activity reports, and clean/repair parts as needed.
• Provide client training on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Respond quickly to service calls while adhering to safety limits.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and arrange tools after each job.
• Follow NOV Health, Safety, and Environment procedures.
• Read and interpret instrumentation drawings, lay cables, and connect electrical components correctly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of field service or related experience.
• Proficiency in English and Microsoft Office.
• Hands‑on experience with drilling instrumentation systems.
• Basic networking knowledge and ability to read electrical schematics.
• Completed coursework in electricity and electronics with strong safety awareness.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work independently or as part of a team.
