Field Support Specialist (Freelance / Dispatch)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and flexible Field Support Specialist to provide on‑site technical assistance on a freelance or dispatch basis. You will step in when full‑time engineers are unavailable or when specific on‑site activities are required, delivering high‑touch support to end users and VIPs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide on‑site IT support for desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software according to organizational standards.
• Perform IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities for IT assets.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including break‑fix support.
• Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for repairs, replacements, and escalations.
• Manage IT inventory, asset tracking, and documentation.
• Image laptops and desktops and support printer/network printer installations.
• Assist with conference‑room AV setup and meeting‑room technologies.
• Provide VIP/end‑user support with a high‑touch service approach.
• Support Office 365 issues, user account troubleshooting, and compliance/security software.
• Support both Windows and Mac devices and ensure SLA adherence.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and maintain knowledge‑base articles.
• Participate in after‑hours activities, events, and recurring meetings as needed.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in inventory management and vendor coordination.

• Basic networking knowledge (DHCP, DNS, LAN connectivity).
• Printer and network printer setup and troubleshooting.
• Office 365 support.
• System imaging for laptops and desktops.
• Mac OS support alongside Windows.
• Compliance and security software installation.
