Financial Analyst

About the role

The Finance Analyst supports the Finance Manager in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting and day‑to‑day finance operations. This position is ideal for an early‑career finance professional with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and confidence using AI tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated budget and business‑plan models, collect and validate inputs from department heads, and consolidate them into full financial statements.
• Prepare monthly management packs (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs), analyse variances by driver and draft concise commentary.
• Handle day‑to‑day finance operations including accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, month‑end close, treasury cash‑position monitoring and compliance filings (VAT, Zakat, e‑invoicing).
• Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports in Excel, Odoo and Zoho, and automate recurring reports using Power Query and scheduled system outputs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; professional qualifications (SOCPA, ACCA) preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance, FP&A or audit with strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, Power Query.
• Experience with ERP/financial systems, specifically Odoo and Zoho.
• Proficiency with AI tools to accelerate analysis and report preparation.
