Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will act as the financial custodian of Basiqat Resort, a remote eco‑lodge within the Mantis Collection portfolio. Reporting to the General Manager and collaborating with regional finance leadership, you will ensure robust financial governance, accurate reporting, and effective control environments in a pre‑opening or early‑stage resort setting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management accounts.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting, partnering with department heads.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets, analyse variances, and provide insights to commercial teams.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with group standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial management within hospitality or similar service‑industry environments.
• Ability to work hands‑on in a remote resort setting while providing strategic financial guidance.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
