Financial Reporting Director

About the role

The Financial Reporting Director will lead MATARAT's financial reporting function, ensuring the preparation of accurate financial statements, reports and regulatory disclosures. This senior position works closely with the finance team, auditors and regulatory bodies to uphold the highest standards of financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, reports and disclosures in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage account reconciliations, journal entry preparation and ensure the reliability of financial data.
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audits and examinations.
• Develop, implement and monitor internal controls, policies and procedures to safeguard financial assets.
• Track financial performance against budget and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Document financial processes and controls to support audits and financial reviews.
• Stay updated on changes to accounting standards, financial regulations and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related discipline.
• 9–10 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting or audit.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Knowledge of GAAP.
