Fleet Team Leader

About the role

The Fleet Team Leader oversees daytime operations at a distribution centre (DC) warehouse, ensuring smooth workflow, accurate record‑keeping, and timely resolution of on‑site issues. This role coordinates vehicle dispatch, driver activities, and shipment movements while acting as the primary liaison with the Key Account (KA) team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daytime warehouse operations, addressing on‑site issues promptly.
• Maintain complete and traceable records of personnel and vehicle movements.
• Oversee company‑owned vehicles and in‑house drivers, handling dispatch, allocation, and daily coordination.
• Conduct regular vehicle inspections, identify problems, and follow up on repairs and maintenance.
• Communicate daily with the KA team and respond to urgent operational matters.
• Monitor inbound and outbound shipments, including customer pickups and hand‑overs to third‑party logistics providers.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in logistics and familiarity with operational processes.
• Ability to drive heavy vehicles; relevant licences preferred.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Fluent in English and Arabic with strong bilingual communication skills.
