Flight Engineer Instructor – Rotary‑Wing Aircraft

About the role

The position reports to the Directorate of Operations and works within the assigned management structure. It involves acting as a Flight Engineer Instructor on rotary‑wing aircraft, delivering both basic and advanced training courses in line with approved syllabi.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver initial Flight Engineer training, instructor training, live hoist operations, EOS operation, and data‑link system courses.
• Review, update, and develop Flight Engineer training materials, publications, syllabi, examinations, and related instructional documentation.
• Advise commanders and management on training requirements and development needs for Flight Engineers.
• Maintain and follow up training records and files for deployed Flight Engineers and Crew Chiefs.
• Ensure compliance with operational and training standards throughout all instructional activities.

Required profile

• FAA A&P, EASA B1 license, or equivalent qualification with a recognized Flight Engineer Instructor course.
• Minimum 2,000 flight hours on rotary‑wing aircraft.
• At least 500 flight hours as a Crew Chief Instructor.
• 200 flight hours as a Hoist Operator and 100 flight hours using Night Vision Goggles.
• Military aviation experience preferred and at least 100 flying hours in the previous 12 months.
• Completed relevant FLIR Operator, Hoist, NVG, Tactical, and Instructor courses.
• Demonstrated experience in Search and Rescue (SAR) operations and FLIR operation.
• Successful completion of required aviation medical examination, theoretical and practical evaluations, and interview.
• All qualifications, licenses, and flight hours must be supported by official documentation.
• Obtain required security clearance from the Government.
