Founding Software Engineer

About the role

Q4 is an early‑stage startup building an intelligence layer for Saudi financial markets. As a Founding Software Engineer you will join the team in Riyadh and work directly with the founder to design, build and scale the core product from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the product architecture for both frontend and backend systems.
• Make critical engineering decisions and shape the technology stack.
• Develop AI‑driven data pipelines, search, and retrieval components.
• Build and maintain APIs, cloud infrastructure and database models.
• Create developer tooling, testing and deployment practices.
• Contribute to future hiring and engineering culture.

Required profile

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience delivering production‑grade systems.
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership beyond individual tasks.
• Comfort with full‑stack development and rapid iteration in a startup environment.
