FPS-117 Radar Engineer

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced FPS-117 Radar Engineer to support the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF). You will advise the RSAF Officer‑in‑Charge, deliver training, produce engineering material and perform intermediate maintenance on advanced surveillance radars.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and assist the RSAF Officer‑in‑Charge on all aspects of radar operations.
• Monitor RSAF training programs, recommend improvements, and develop training material.
• Train RSAF Engineering Officers and Warrant Officers in theory and practical radar work.
• Perform intermediate level maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades on FPS‑117 and related radar systems.
• Support the Mobile Maintenance Team, traveling to remote radar sites for specialized maintenance and training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 10+ years of professional experience with surveillance radars, including extensive work on FPS‑117 systems.
• At least 3 years of experience developing or maintaining the FPS‑117 Radar System.
• Proven ability to install, test, integrate, upgrade and modify complex radar equipment.

• Air Defense Ground Radar, Primary/Secondary Radar expertise.
• 3‑dimensional Radar plot extractors and Height Computers.
• Radar interface equipment, antennas, processors, and data transmission systems.
• Power systems and related sub‑systems for radar installations.
