Freight Forwarding Officer (Inbound Shipments)

About the role

A full-time Freight Forwarding Officer / Senior Officer position based in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), Jeddah, within the Freight Forwarding / Logistics department. The role reports to the Freight Forwarding Assistant Manager and focuses on inbound shipments, shipper performance monitoring and shipment coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Track and evaluate the performance of shippers in India, Korea and China, ensuring shipments are dispatched and delivered on schedule
• Identify delays, bottlenecks and areas for process improvement
• Maintain accurate records of inbound shipments and keep internal teams updated on shipment status
• Coordinate with vendors, operations and management for smooth shipment flow
• Prepare performance reports on shippers for management and maintain shipping documents, invoices and shipment records
• Assist in audits and internal reviews of inbound shipments
• Ensure shipments comply with company SOPs and regulatory requirements, and support continuous improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics coordination
• Experience with import shipments and shipper management
• Knowledge of shipping documentation and trade compliance
• Good spoken and written English

Required skills

• Analytical and tracking skills; knowledge of Incoterms
• Ocean route analysis and situation analysis
• Proficiency in MS Excel and freight tracking systems
• Attention to detail, ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple shipments
