Front End Washer Mechanic

About the role

We are looking for a Front End Washer Mechanic to keep our front‑end washing equipment running smoothly in a can manufacturing plant. The successful candidate will perform maintenance, diagnose faults and ensure high equipment reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance, inspections and preventative tasks on front‑end washers, dryers and related conveyance systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic issues.
• Troubleshoot complex malfunctions, identify root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs, including component replacement, alignment and calibration.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and blueprints to support troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and parts inventory.
• Collaborate with production teams to optimise machine performance and adhere to safety protocols.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance preferred.
• 3‑5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience maintaining industrial washing equipment or similar automated machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
